Hastings and Wasserman Schultz to Hold Community Safety Roundtable with Local Community Groups and Law Enforcement
 
(Fort Lauderdale, FL) Following the recent unrest around the country between local communities and law enforcement, Congressman Alcee Hastings (FL-20) and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-23) will convene a Broward-area working group that includes members of the African American community, local law enforcement, education officials, and youth organizations. The goal of the working group’s first meeting is to strengthen and foster enduring relationships between law enforcement officers and the communities they serve.

The media is invited to take photos and shoot video of the group near the conclusion of the meeting and then join the attendees for a news conference.
